    Punjab Socio-Economic Registry

    On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Social Economic Registry project has been formally launched throughout the district. Under this project, the economic conditions of houses and every household will be reviewed throughout the district, while the villages will also include the counting of livestock. Interns are being recruited for 75 days for this important task. Deputy Director of Local Government Babar Shahzad Ranjha said that 199 registration centers have been set up for public convenience so that the process is easy and fast.

    Only those who register in the Social Economic Registry Project will be able to benefit from various social protection programs. Registered urban e-bikes, bright household solar programs, courage cards, farmer cards, health cards, livestock cards, and scholarship programs will be eligible to apply. People can register themselves at home on an online portal www.pser.punjab.gov.pk or also approach the helpline 02345-0800.

    Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Captain (R) Mohammad Wasim said that the presence of authentic data will give the real rights to the real rights and will help solve public issues. He directed the Assistant Commissioners to provide all possible facilities to the citizens at the registration centers. Other officers also attended the meeting via video link and emphasized the importance of the project.

    Comprehensive Data Collection Initiative

    Deputy Director of Local Government, Babar Shahzad Ranjha, briefed the meeting attendees about the project’s key components. Under the Socio-Economic Registry, household data will be collected across the district, including the economic status of each family and the enumeration of cattle in villages. The government has established 199 registration centers to ensure efficient data collection and provide easy access to the public.

    To support this initiative, interns are being hired for a 75-day period to assist with data collection and project operations. This robust mechanism aims to gather accurate and reliable socio-economic data for effective decision-making and implementation of welfare programs.

    The government has simplified the registration process for the public. Citizens can register themselves at designated registration centers or through the official online portal at www.pser.punjab.gov.pk. Additionally, a helpline (02345-0800) has been established to assist individuals with the registration process.

    Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Waseem emphasized the importance of accurate data collection, ensuring that only rightful beneficiaries receive access to social protection programs. He also directed Assistant Commissioners to facilitate citizens visiting the registration centers to make the process seamless.
