    Utility Stores Corporation Benefits Discontinued. Benazir Income Support Program Subsidy Halted. Benazir will not be able to get the subsidy under the Income Support Program. Poor people cannot get discounts on flour, ghee, sugar, and other essential items from the utility store. This is a big announcement from the Benazir Income Support Program that deserving people will not be able to get the subsidy. Under BISP, a bag of flour will be available for Rs 1500 and the price of ghee has increased further, now Rs 450 will be provided instead of Rs 380. 

    The Prime Minister has made several proposals regarding the abolition of the Utility Store Corporation, the federal government has now abolished the subsidy of 50 billion rupees for the utility store. According to the Prime Minister, vegetables will be available at the utility store for only a few weeks.

    People suffering from poverty will have to buy flour, sugar, and ghee from utility stores at expensive prices. Through the Benazir Income Support Program, sugar has been reduced to Rs. 155 per kg instead of Rs. 109. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has also asked for suggestions regarding the abolition of Utility Stores Corporation, the subsidy of 50 billion for utility stores has also been stopped by the federal government.

    The subsidy under the Benazir Income Support Program has now been discontinued. The poor people who are worried about meeting their needs will now be given relief through cash. According to his instructions, the Prime Minister has issued orders that relief should given to the poor and poverty-stricken people through cash instead of utility subsidy. Due to the closure of utility stores, many poor sections are worried about buying items at expensive prices.
